Events Coordinator (Part-time; Open until filled; full ad here)
Centro Cultural de la Raza is hiring for an Events Coordinator in support of Centro’s current and new cultural programming in San Diego. We are looking for a part-time, Bilingual (English/Spanish) Events Coordinator who can manage space rentals, support Centro and community events, and be part of the team that coordinates Centro communications (social media, newsletter, and website). This individual will serve as a representative of our values and a welcoming presence to our broad community in San Diego. Past experience with the Centro is preferred but not required.
As one of the faces of the Centro, the Events Coordinator is responsible for helping ensure that events run smoothly and our community artists, artisans, performers and volunteers have a positive experience. The Events Coordinator needs to be friendly, helpful, positive and remain professional in challenging situations. The right candidate is a clear and articulate communicator with the ability to motivate and direct people in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Events Coordinator
Hours: Opening of the Centro, Thursday-Sunday 12-5pm, also as-needed for events, typically held Friday to Sunday in the afternoon/evening. Pay: $22hr plus prorated benefits

Full-time: 40 hours per week (mostly on-site and some remote)
Schedule: General working hours will be Monday - Friday, with a flexible schedule. On occasion hours will include nights or weekends for work related events or functions.
Compensation: $80,000 plus benefits
Benefits: Full Medical, Dental and Vision coverage
PTO: 13 paid holidays; starting vacation of 2 weeks; accrued sick days

Centro Cultural de la Raza is hiring for its Operational, events coordination, and cultural programming needs in San Diego. We are looking for a full-time, Bilingual (English/Spanish) Operations Manager who can oversee all aspects of the day to day operations and opening of the space. This individual will serve as a representative of our values and a welcoming presence to our patrons. Past experience with the Centro preferred but not required.
This is a unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of the Centro Cultural de la Raza, develop management skills, create an inviting and effortless entry experience for our patrons, positively impact our artistic community and support social justice arts and culture programming. As an Operations Manager at the Centro Cultural de la Raza, one will have the opportunity to meet wonderful people with similar passions and will be the primary interface with the public.
